This vibrant restaurant is a true culinary crossroads where sushi aficionados, hibachi enthusiasts, and lovers of Asian flavors all find something to delight their palate.
The menu bursts with popular dishes that showcase the kitchen’s versatility and commitment to fresh, satisfying flavors. Dive into the tender, perfectly grilled Hibachi Chicken that balances delicate seasoning with juicy satisfaction, or savor the bright and colorful Chirashi Bowl, a refreshing mix of fresh sashimi arranged over perfectly seasoned rice. For something with a hint of spice and creamy depth, the Panang Curry with Chicken offers a comforting Thai-inspired experience that wraps you in warm coconut and aromatic spices.
If sushi is your craving, Hibachi Sushi does not disappoint. The Las Vegas Roll is a crowd-pleaser, combining bold flavors with fresh ingredients in every bite. The Hot Mama Roll delivers a satisfying kick, while the thick slices of salmon sashimi and luxurious salmon roe nigiri invite you to savor the pure elegance of expertly crafted sushi. Their hand rolls, praised for their freshness and texture, reveal meticulous preparation that sushi lovers will appreciate.
Appetizers like the highly recommended Pan-Fried Gyoza and Cheese Crab Wontons offer crispy, savory bites that set the tone for a fulfilling meal. The shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizers bring a light, crunchy contrast with a delicate, golden batter that perfectly complements the juicy shrimp and crisp vegetables inside.
One of the standout features is the variety of fried rice options, each crafted with care. Whether it’s the hearty House Fried Rice packed with chicken, steak, and shrimp, or the indulgent Seafood Fried Rice featuring scallops, shrimp, and crab, the dishes are generous and comforting. Customers often mention the satisfying portion sizes—as Karen Sanchez shared, a lunch order can easily set you for days, speaking to the restaurant’s great value without compromising portion or flavor.
The atmosphere at Hibachi Sushi strikes an approachable, casual tone ideal for relaxed lunches, family dinners, or convenient takeout. It’s not a high-end, ultra-polished spot, but it’s a place where quality, freshness, and portion size come first—making it a dependable neighborhood choice. Sofia Peedin’s reflection on the subtle seasoning of hibachi meats and fresh rice highlights the kitchen’s thoughtful approach to flavors that don’t overwhelm but satisfy.
Whether you’re in the mood for authentic sushi, comforting Asian-fusion dishes, or a filling fried rice, Hibachi Sushi welcomes you with open arms, tasty dishes, and a reliable spot for affordable, fresh Asian dining in Raleigh.

The portions are generous and you can’t beat the value for the price! It is definitely not an upscale eatery but if you’re looking for affordable takeout then this is the perfect casual spot. I ordered the Lunch Chicken Fried Rice and from the serving it seems I should be set for a few days!
Great Lunch special, good portions. Will definitely order again
Ordered from doordash and have never had such amazing sushi - the quality of the hand rolls is so fresh we're blown away!!! Will be back
I was really sketched out by the reviews, but the food is really decent! The hibachi isn’t overdone with seasonings, meat is nice and tender, rice is fresh. Ye it might be “bland” for some but I actually do prefer less seasoning on my hibachi. The sushi- salmon roll, philly roll, salmon sashimi (thick pieces good God just what I wanted) and salmon roe nigiri all amazing! These crab rangoons are the BEST i ever tried and I will return! For the prize? Absolutely yes, yes and yes. If you want to spend money on more flavors go somewhere else this is fast, affordable and plenty, and mostly simple! And again as other people mentioned, this place is meant to be as a fast affordable take-out for NCSU students! Not a high end hibachi Japanese restaurant! So set your expectations accordingly.
